Breast Carcinoma Cell Line

Description A hypodiploid cell line demonstrating net loss of chromosomes. Derived by Fogh and Trempe (1975), who derived SK-BR-3, but subsequent to their paper, and obtained from Dr Mike O'Hare.
   
Notable Features Translocations involve chromosomes 1, 4, 9, 14, 15 and 19.
