Description

A hypertriploid cell line from mammary gland; breast; duct; primary ductal carcinoma, held at ATCC, included in the Cancer genome Project at the Sanger Institute.

   
Notable Features

Hypertriploid, extremely rearranged with 37 structural chromosome abnormalities, involving all chromosomes except 6 and 16, many of them in two copies, the majority complex involving more than three chromosomes, all cells contain hsr involving chromosome 8. Losses involve Xp, 6, 9, 12qx2; gains involve 5, 8, 16, 20. No normal chromosomes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 15, 17, 18.
