Cellosaurus U2OS GRPR calcium-Nomad (CVCL_YK47)

[Text version]
Cell line name U2OS GRPR calcium-Nomad
Synonyms Ca++ Nomad BB2 (GRPR)/U2OS; BB2 (GRPR) Nomad
Accession CVCL_YK47
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: U2OS GRPR calcium-Nomad (RRID:CVCL_YK47)
Comments Population: Caucasian.
Characteristics: In absence of calcium, the fluorescent biosensor is localized in the cellular membrane. An increase in this second messenger concentration leads to change in the structural folding of Nomad biosensor that promotes its cellular relocation in the vesicular trafficking of the cells.
Characteristics: The green calcium-Nomad biosensor consists of a membrane localization peptide derived from interleukin-2 receptor alpha chain, a TurboGFP fluorescent protein, a calmodulin-binding peptide fused to a KDEL signal.
Genetic integration: Method=Transfection/transduction; Gene=HGNC; 4609; GRPR.
Genetic integration: Method=Transfection/transduction; Gene=FPbase; A315M; TurboGFP (Note=Green fluorescent protein from P.plumata).
Genetic integration: Method=Transfection/transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P00552; Transposon Tn5 neo.
Genetic integration: Method=Transfection/transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P13249; S.alboniger pac (PuroR).
Derived from site: In situ; Bone, tibia; UBERON=UBERON_0000979.
