Comments | Population: Caucasian. Characteristics: Genetically engineered and optimized to respond to TNF-alpha resulting in the specific expression of firefly luciferase. Normalization of cell counts and serum matrix effects is obtained by a second reporter gene, a Renilla luciferase reporter gene construct, under control of a constitutive promoter (Svar Life Science=BM3044). Characteristics: The luciferase reporter gene is under the control of 5 tandem copies of the NF-kappaB response element and the Renilla luciferase is under the control of a constitutive minimal TK promoter (PubMed=21910993).
