Cellosaurus KYM-1D4 (CVCL_5616)

[Text version]
Cell line name KYM-1D4
Accession CVCL_5616
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: KYM-1D4 (RRID:CVCL_5616)
Comments Problematic cell line: Possibly misclassified. It is not certain that the parent cell line originate from a alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS). It lacks the PAXA3-FOXO1 gene fusion characteristics of ARMS. Many papers classify it as an embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ERMS) and we accordingly describe it as such.
Population: Japanese.
Derived from site: In situ; Neck; UBERON=UBERON_0000974.
Sequence variations
  • Gene deletion; HGNC; HGNC:11103; SMARCB1; Zygosity=Homozygous (from parent cell line).
Disease Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (NCIt: C8971)
Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma (ORDO: Orphanet_99757)
Species of origin Homo sapiens (Human) (NCBI Taxonomy: 9606)
Hierarchy Parent: CVCL_3007 (KYM-1)
Sex of cell Male
Age at sampling 9M
Category Cancer cell line
