Cellosaurus CH-RPE.11a (CVCL_D3WW)

[Text version]
Cell line name CH-RPE.11a
Synonyms RPE.11a
Accession CVCL_D3WW
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: CH-RPE.11a (RRID:CVCL_D3WW)
Comments Characteristics: This is a class II Pseudomonas toxin resistant cell line. The resistance of class II mutants cannot be overcome by increased concentration of the toxin. They possess a mutationally altered EF-2 which does not serve as a substrate for ADP-ribosylation by the Pseudomonas toxin (PubMed=494060).
Selected for resistance to: UniProtKB; P11439; Pseudomonas aeruginosa exotoxin A (eta).
Transformant: ChEBI; CHEBI_23994; Ethyl methanesulfonate (Methylsulfonic acid ethyl ester; MSEE).
Derived from site: In situ; Ovary; UBERON=UBERON_0000992.
Cell type: Epithelial cell of ovary; CL=CL_2000064.
Sequence variations
  • Mutation; UniProtKB; P09445; EEF2; Simple; p.Ser584Gly (c.1750A>G); Zygosity=Heterozygous (PubMed=7559470).
Species of origin Cricetulus griseus (Chinese hamster) (Cricetulus barabensis griseus) (NCBI Taxonomy: 10029)
Hierarchy Parent: CVCL_0214 (CHO-K1)
Sex of cell Female
Age at sampling Adult
Category Spontaneously immortalized cell line
