Cellosaurus PZ-TR (CVCL_C0NN)

[Text version]
Cell line name PZ-TR
Synonyms Clone 4
Accession CVCL_C0NN
Resource Identification Initiative To cite this cell line use: PZ-TR (RRID:CVCL_C0NN)
Comments Population: Caucasian.
Biotechnology: Used for as reporter cell line for the assessment of thyroid receptor (TR) transcriptional activity. Triiodothyronine (T3) induced luciferase activity in a dose-dependent manner, and the sensitivity of assay allowed for the detection of nanomolar T3 concentrations (PubMed=26208032).
Characteristics: Expression of luciferase is under the control of a promoter containing two thyroid hormone response elements (TREs) separated by four nucleotides (DR4) followed by a SV40 promoter (PubMed=26208032).
Genetic integration: Method=Transfection/transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P08659; Firefly luciferase.
Genetic integration: Method=Transfection/transduction; Gene=UniProtKB; P00557; Escherichia coli hygromycin-B 4-O-kinase (hph) (HygR).
Derived from site: In situ; Liver; UBERON=UBERON_0002107.
