CC   Problematic cell line: Contaminated. Seems to be an hybrid of HeLa and probably of a gastric cancer cell. The STR profile is highly similar to that of HeLa yet shows some specific differences that suggest it is an hybrid cell line (PubMed=37543987). Was originally thought to originate from a 53 year old male patient suffering from a poorly differentiated gastric mucinous adenocarcinoma.
