Cellosaurus is developed by Amos Bairoch of the CALIPHO group at the SIB - Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce that Amos Bairoch, creator of Swiss-Prot, PROSITE, ENZYME, Expasy, neXtProt and Cellosaurus, has passed away. Amos was a visionary and a pioneer of bioinformatics, and he developed the Cellosaurus with unwavering passion since 2012.
